Today I said goodbye for the last time to a friend and companion who'd been with me since the beginning of my adult life, since the birth of my son, through 2 relationships, and 9 houses in 8 postcodes.
I don't know how long she'd been on this planet but i do know she'd been with at least 2 other families before we met.
She had already figured out what she liked and didn't by then and let me know quickly she didn't take no shit.
She had a good, mostly pain free life, besides the last 3 weeks. Sadly nobody was home when she drew her last breath and i found her when i got home an hour ago.
I rushed out of the house this morning and i didn't interact with her at all today, knowing that makes me feel terrible 😔
