I knew it was an insult, but not to what extent... There's so many "IQ" tests, that 80 could mean retarded on one scale and mediocre on another...
They're pretty bullshit - they establish pattern recognition, which isn't a proxy for IQ, in most cases.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there is any broadly recognised standard for determining "IQ" - I THINK it's something MENSA came up w originally?
