I remember when I came back from Thailand and a necklace snapped. Took it to a Jeweller to get it fixed and he told me "that's this Turkish bullshit gold isn't it?" He then continued how he couldn't fix it without risking to melt a part. I calmly replied "why don't simply tell me that you don't know how to deal with 24k gold?
But yes, it's very soft.
