But to really get the most out of podpings, you need an always-on process that can send notifications to non-running PWAs. That requires a dedicated server process and Web Push.
The latest umbilical adds support for that, and requires a deployment to an always-on platform.
It's still early days and I'm learning a lot, so comments, feedback, push requests and whatnot are very welcome.
