I had hopes - not high, but hopes all the same - for Mozilla's metaverse-esque project, Hubs.
Sure, it was rather blocky.
And, sure, it looked basically impossible for someone like me to self-host.
But it was early days, and the idea of a genuinely open metaverse-esque environment - e.g. to have meetings beyond a Jitsi video call - still pleases me.
So to see Mozilla abandoning it is a shame.
