It's even worse now. Back in the 90s, it still had that tacky "character" sorta like the furniture and cars of the 60s, like the Rat Pack was sill there crooning well into their 80s. Now it's like a cross between Rodeo Drive and Universal Studios. Gone are the cheap buffets, the noise of the coins falling out of the machines, the tacky smoky motel rooms with the questionable bedspreads. I couldn't imagine it sucking even more than it used to but it does.
