Demonstrating gravity tractor deflection has been an option for more than 10 years now (I was involved in the Asteroid Redirect mission proposal in the early 2010s). But it would cost a few billion dollars / euros, so it has not happened.
Nuclear blast deflection has not been demonstrated and will not be, for many reasons. But there is little doubt about how nuclear bombs work.
