Ugh. So there is this web3 social protocol called friend.tech which apparently doesn’t do much except let you buy your way in to mod privileges on chat rooms and a bunch of custodial wallet stuff. I played with it and the it seems like the only part of the app they focused on was the crypto trading part.
Anyway surprise surprise the token almost immediately lost 98% of its value.
Projects like this are why even calling your protocol decentralized is considered a dog whistle for web 3 scam.
