Based on my admittedly short experience with it, Rust is a user-hostile language and requires both learning and unlearning.
That said, I like it and would love having a good reason to do a deeper dive. Which shouldn't be a surprise considering my favorite language isn't exactly known for being 'user friendly'. (C)
In any case, I don't think Rust is a good choice for anything you aren't being paid to do. Fun coding should be fun – which is why I use Python for that kind of thing.
