I keep seeing indie creators freaking out (in youtube videos, in blogs, on podcasts) about the per-creation billing model going away, the instituting of the Apple tax, etc. And both the creators themselves and all the comments talk about the ills of greed and capitalism and the personal character failings of Jack Conte or whatever, and it's all so conspiratorial and overcomplicated and frustrating, but I can't blame them, because Patreon is just… delusional about the meaning of these changes
