Bitkey is way easier because it’s not really a standalone hardware wallet like Jade/Coldcard/etc. It’s more of an ecosystem of the app, hardware, and server backup that make it what it is. The hardware key is really just a two factor authenticator for certain actions in the app. Functions more like a Yubikey than anything. But, easy to setup, no seeds to worry about, and virtually impossible to lose your coins with the recovery methods. Pretty much ideal for beginners and even advanced bitcoiners too depending on what you are most paranoid about.
