I'm seeing a troubling trend of OSS + restrictive commercial/cloud startups getting funded that are clearly not clean room implementations. I'm no lawyer but taking heavy inspiration while porting to Rust/Typescript is still a derivative work. At minimum it's not in the spirit of OSS IMO.
