I get tired when I try to reason about all of this stuff ☹️ All of these systems are interconnected by friction and it's so tough to predict where things will fall when any one spot loosens.
A looming specter to me is: owning the platform likely matters. When everyone can build a good product, so can the platform, and your potential customers are already their real customers.
