I have tried my whole life. All the good was perverted into bad. I've got a whole legion of stupid people harassing me.
I have done many things in defense of others, helping people. Arguably, as one person said it, I contributed to software projects in a way that ".. —without a doubt— has saved lives already." (his words)
None of that counts, the legion of misguided people is still constantly harassing me, and the people who understand, cannot easily offer help because they're located all over the world.
I ignored or dismissed many (if not all) opportunities that were at the cost of others. I managed decently without being mean and I could have been so much better off. None of it bothers me.
There is *only* thing that I cannot get off my mind: i put my belief in humanity. Now, in front of my eyes, everything gets destroyed. On a local scale. On a global scale. Locally, people are simply too stupid. Globally, only a few give me the benefit of the doubt. (Most don't want to bother; I can understand.)
I am sorry for being so negative. I have a hard time rediscovering any appreciation for humanity. I've been shown very little of it.
