A friend sent me a few TikTok videos about food and wellness. While I was happy to view the content, I didn't want to download the app nor engage directly with their website.
A nice compromise was to use one of the many alternative front-ends. I ordinarily use ProxiTok, but one of the hosts I have bookmarked has now taken down their self-hosted instance and redirected users to something called StickTock:
https://www.sticktock.com/
It worked smoothly and did what it needed to do. I hope it'll be of interest to others here too. For more info on the release of this front-end, check out their launch announcement here:
