#WordWeavers 16Nov-Do you make up words for your books? If so, any tricks to share?
Other than places, I've made up one word, and made an existing word a swear.
-Wysp: a semi-conscious fragment of the Elemental Gods.
-Slag: stony waste matter from the metal ore refining process. I use this (instead of f*ck) in Rise of Iron.
My only trick is to keep things simple. I don't want my readers to be overwhelmed with new words. I want my stories to be an escape, not a linguistics lesson (no offense).
