My partner did his PhD in robotics in the late 90s. At the time, one of the biggest challenges it had was, as he put it "how do you teach a computer how to tell a rock from a shadow" (re: self driving cars).

They overcame that with a crap ton of sensors that take unbelievable processing power and even then sometimes I wonder.

AI is now going through what Robotics went through in the 90s. How do you train a computer to distinguish between expertise and shitposts?

We tell children not to believe everything on the internet yet somehow some genius thought it would be a good idea to pay $60M for decade old teenage shitposts.
