To be fair, people who are still working with their antique computers ...say a C64... have a legit interest in preserving non-emulated old games because in today's world, old games is what they do best.
On Mastodon there's a Text Adventure bot that I've tried and it can't even try to hold a candle to the C64 version of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
