Brazilian guy complaining that Nostr is monothematic and that he doesn't get many followers in comparison with his other social networks:
Amigos do Nostr. Tenho publicado conteúdo aqui de forma ininterrupta (dá trabalho) por meses agora. Número de seguidores? 170.
Simplesmente inviável. É uma plataforma monotemática, só há interesse por criptomoedas e afins. E vai, evidentemente, fracassar por isso mesmo. Ou ficar restrita a esse nicho, o que para mim é sinônimo de fracasso. Lamento dizer isso mas é a pura verdade.
Tenho que focar meu tempo em plataformas que gerem engajamento e visibilidade.

Although I disagree with his tone and his expectations, I agree that Nostr being monothematic is a very bad thing. I'm hopeful it will improve over time and there are some initiatives pushing us for that, but still it is undeniably a bad thing and probably the first reason why we're losing to Bluesky in number of users.
Another bad thing are these follower counts. These counts should have never been a real thing, they are misleading and just confuse people, but what can I do about them?
