Hypolite Petovan on Nostr: The fleet of city taxis which still is a big part of New York City’s historical ...
The fleet of city taxis which still is a big part of New York City’s historical aesthetics has now been decimated. Uber and its competitors are obviously to blame, but I believe it’s COVID that struck the fatal blow.
The regulation yellow vehicles have mostly been replaced by black cars driven by people in I assume more precarious situations than the medallion drivers were.
It feels like yet another tragedy of the commons.
