They provide a much better alternative in $STRF, which will overtime suck capital from government backed debt. If the FED is the only one buying our debt then it’s just pretend and all faith will have been lost.
Makes them look pretty bad. They already look bad with their anemic auctions.
My guess is that they will issue some version of a bitbond before that happens
Strategy is ‘only’ going after 1% of the bond market tho. The bond market is like 300T so they want 3T of that market
