It’s not just a health negative. It’s freaking blue skies that are rare in some parts of China (and many other places).
That said, IMO the US has taken advantage for so long and now they have no choice. They can’t not exploit resources. I think we’ll see “rare earth discoveries” etc. once we permit more pollution.
No choice but innovation….
