A Native American friend wonders why so many progressives are easily outraged about Zionists “displacing” about a million Palestinians, but can be oddly quiet about early Americans killing over
56 million indigenous people on our own continent. Maybe many just want to intuitively accept that doing better going forward is more constructive than fulminating over mistakes our ancestors made in the past. While they will never be undone, discussion of reparations for them are still long overdue.
