that's actually a good point -- "following” is imprecise, and why should you have to send a message to someone to that effect?
You get this situation I have on Twitter where you just end up meeting half your follows because you don’t want them to know you think what they’re saying is idiotic and no longer want to hear it, old colleagues and such.
Maybe you’re onto something.
