Tomorrow night, Jan 13, the full moon, aka as the Wolf Moon, will rise and soon thereafter pass right in front of Mars, creating what is known as an occultation.
Mars should be visible with the naked eye or better with binoculars or a telescope until it gets close to the Moon's edge.
Here is a map of the night sky as seen from New York, at 21:20 EST, a minute before occultation begins. A few other planets will be visible during the night.
