Ever notice that the ongoing Now is always happening? Yet we often find ourselves stuck in our heads. We look toward and anticipate future events. We ruminate on past events. We spend a lot of brain power contemplating the has-happened, and the what-if. It’s important to not get too caught up in the head and come back to baseline. So many fascinating occurrences are happening in every moment. The most basic way to situate yourself in the Now is to focus on your breath and tune into the layering that is unfolding in front of you. Don’t just observe your surroundings, merge with it.
