That said, aside from a "public interest" motive, one should not use any data so exposed to damage the legitimate interests of, or to denigrate, the prior owner, or simply for prurient purposes.

To look, to understand, is fine, but one should be sensitive to the possible delicate nature of any discoveries.

If you're going to go on the age of the data, then things get fuzzy. (I don't like fuzzy.) Where do you draw the line. 10 years? 25? The 30 specified here?
