As someone who values privacy, I don't trust browsers at all.
Browser fingerprinting is a big problem, and it's hard boss to beat. I'm not convinced by claims from any browser, including Librewolf, Mullvad, Firefox, Brave, or even the Tor Browser—that they offer effective fingerprint protection.
Things will only get worse over time, and no amount of browser tweaks, extensions, or privacy measures like VPNs can really help.
Disabling Javascript may offer some protection, but it's not a complete solution because shady websites that we usually want to protect ourselfs from are the ones most likely to break if we disable Javascript.
The best solution is to simply avoid those sites altogether and browsers in general.
The modern web is dieing (Dead Internet Theory)—it's full of AI-generated junk, advertisements, and trackers. You won't miss anything because it's all noise. You almost don't need search engines anymore too, Local LLMs are already here, functioning even on mobile devices.
