Caricom urges Venezuela not to hold elections in the territory in dispute with Guyana 🇬🇾🇻🇪
In a press release, Caricom said that during last week's summit, heads of government were updated on developments related to the dispute between Venezuela and Guyana, a member of the Caribbean organization. The Caribbean community urged Venezuela “not to attempt to hold elections or otherwise encroach on Guyana's sovereign territory” of the Essequibo, which Caracas claims as its own.
