I’m not an economist, but my impression is the Capitalism mechanism could still be there, but its worst aspects would/could be controlled via taxation.
Post WWII, the top tax rate was 90 something %.
However by no means am I selling Capitalism, just speculating on how we could transform our current system and avoid an economic breakdown. But a breakdown might be required to provide adequate incentive. 🤔
