For cleaning I use a wet method + vinyl vac. Most of the time with new records I simply wet the record with groovewasher solution, let it sit then vacuum it off (no rubbing) to get rid of paper dust and static. If that isn't enough I will follow up with the same process but I actually wipe it with a microfiber block then rinse it with a solution of h20 + surfactant and vac it
