Sorry for being all sentimental, been building up lately. Too many late night conversations with old guys.

The more I spend days on the road ferrying shitbox planes with old guys in their 60's, the more stories I pick up. I guess I draw it out of people, I'm "easy to talk to" and they end up unpacking all their deepest burdens as we sit there staring at the gauges hour after hour. It really does show that we have a lot in common with the boomers, they're just guys trying to make their own way.

I can't razz them for their TV addiction when I'm always eager to get back and turn on my own screen here, can't call them out for wasting money on worthless crap when I see my own trophy case. I feel like all my own faults are reflected in them, too.

One day my son will roll his eyes at me, God willing.
