For work, I instead export to docx based on a template file, works wonderfully.
Creating PDFs with Markdown either through Typst or LaTeX is very nice indeed. You can also use it as an SSG, the author built a separate tool for that even. I use it for my blog too, although in that case it’s just an incantation of Makefiles to string together the Markdown source with CSS: https://www.ljrk.org/blog
