There are so many interactions here that have people saying "Why do people do this so much on Mastodon?" like changing the subject, weird replies, etc. and I think a lot of it is due to the lack of quotes.
Some small minority is scared to death of quotes, but I think they lead to a lot more civil discourse in most cases.
I know, you are certain it would be the end of days, but I was also guaranteed that search would bring on the end times and absolutely nothing has changed for the worse.
