DISTANT VOICES, STILL LIVES
Literally years of my life have been spent taking in the moving image. Television and (especially) film. My memories of what I've watched are strangely as real to me as those in my day to day life in the material world. Sometimes they feel more real. Terence Davies' Distant Voices, Still Lives (1988) left such an impact on me. And this sequence in particular.
