"content": "The sharp eyed among you may notice that the hub is laced to a rim in that photo of it disassembled, and that it was not laced to a rim in the condition I received it. \n\nThat's because there is a big retaining ring that has to be removed before you can disassemble the hub and there's no good way to hold on to the hub while you loosen that ring, unless the hub is laced to a wheel. \n\nI tried holding the hub in the pipe jaws of my bench vise and with a large pipe wrench, but the only thing that worked for me was putting it into a rim temporarily",
