I had to look up beat time, that's interesting. had never heard of that one.

as far as timezones, as I know them, they're to hide the flat earth, but that's a whole other story. :D I don't like timezones.

I do know PST and UTC, and thankfully my watch does UTC.
computing other offsets for different countries I do employ a simple hack.

Flip AM/PM and subtract x # of hours, once I compare the times once, and then just memorize them.
