I've got some really archaic computers to work on, but one thing I noticed is that while I can still use anything on the internet just fine, the one thing which is completely unusable on an old computer is Facebook. In the old days, hardware wasn't a problem with websites because the weakest link was the internet. Sites on the internet were designed to be light enough to be read over the internet and it was assumed that anybody's computer hardware could handle more. Meta doesn't believe in that.
