Part of the problem is definitely that societies are complex organisms. Everything ties into everything else. It means it’s hard to break but also there’s no individual or immediate solution.
There can be a community festival and everyone will show up every year, but if the festival disbands an individual can’t just start it up again. There’s time and investment and effort and people have to want it and go for it at the end of the day.
There has to be a willingness or maybe the environment’s destroyed in regards to it. Either way it’s a skill that people have to learn and cultivate and it’s like they don’t want to. They’re sad because they’re lonely but they don’t want to learn how to have friends and community and be involved.
I can blame the parents and schools but ultimately people are going to have to figure this out.
