No, you didn't screw up. For n=1.25, the angular radius of the rainbow is 56°.

seems to be confused; they claim the opposite relationship between refractive index and rainbow size that what I showed in those tweets, maybe because I show smaller rainbows for some exotic cases with *higher* refractive indices. But ethane is exotic in the opposite manner to the examples I gave.
