I’m not saying it’s healthy or normal or that I would wear a “what would Buffy do” church bracelet. I’m not saying I recommend it. It’s a teenage coping mechanism that is burned into my brain.
But I am saying that’s my strategy. For better or worse or cringe factor, that’s my take. That’s how I see the predicament I have been stuck in since I realize who I was and what kind of world I’m living in. And, say what you will, it has not served me wrong.
