the problem being that energy is expensive to store and transport, and a lossy currency isn't practical

so you end up with something (like the petrodollar) that's based on contracts and treaties; if anything it caused more wars than it prevented, it's not neutral in the way energy is

bitcoin is more directly physically linked to energy, though likely not in any way Ford imagined 😀
