😂 Far from it. I think The Refugee Convention, which was conceived at the behest of Post WW2 Jews, needs a complete overhaul to modernize it. RC signatory countries are currently at risk of suffering the same fate that Palestine did ie being overrun by immigrants who subsequently claimed the country to be their own and renamed it Israel, and who are today genociding the Native people to extinction. Countries that signed the Refugee Convention need to reevaluate for themselves if they are okay with a similar fate befalling them.
As it stands today, these countries are legally obliged to accept all asylum seekers, regardless of how many of these arrive. Many do not hold, nor are they required to possess, ID documents like passports. So in theory, even Osama bin Laden could show up on US soil and claim asylum.
Would that be a security threat?
