One upside about being stuck on the couch the past two days, icing my skating injury, is that it gave me plenty of time to catch up on my reading.
I just finished Great Expectations, and what a wonderful novel. Charles Dickens doesn't waste your time and every chapter has the kind of serial-writer sensibilities that drive the plot forward. I think it might just make it on my personal top 10 list.
