This is one of those naive questions but with how good a modern engine like Unreal Engine is, what is the "hard" part of an MMORPG now?
I feel like with ~1 year on my belt a lot of it is pretty direct in making the content like the fights, npc interactions, world. Is it still just the challenge of scaling and replicating all these interactions or has that also been improved in recent times? Mostly just wanting to hear thoughts on it from people smarter than me.
