So why haven't we heard from aliens?
Obvious really. In the future interstellar communication will be quantum. But for this to work the sender and receiver need to have large enough telescopes that the sender can resolve the receiver's telescope. But this means any potential sender can see we don't have a big enough telescope to receive their message. So they're clearly not going to send anything to us.
