I think this move by the #NDP is brilliant.

PP likely thinks he gets to PM by the end of the year, but that is not happening.

The NDP have more power now and here is why. #Trudeau loves being PM. He knows that if the government falls, he is done an an MP. Thus, the #Liberal party have to have the NDP on board for every confidence vote and PP is going to do whatever he can to make every vote a confidence vote.

For the rest of this government, the NDP get to distance themselves from the Liberals yet get to push the Liberals around with the bills they put forward. If one goes forward the NDP does not like, that is it for Trudeau and he knows it.

With the agreement they had in place, the NDP pushed through what they wanted. At the same point, the Liberals hold all the seats and the cabinet and kind of were able to do what they wanted and they didn't do much that I remember other the the NDP programs.

I often wondered why the NDP didn't offer to be part of a coalition government and know I know why. When the coalition fails, there must almost certainly be a confidence vote and the #Cons would win. With this agreement, they don't have that problem when it ended.

Could the NDP really have been playing the long game all along? Are they that smart?
