There is a lot of work being put in making #nostr identities and #bitcoin wallets safe to use for the public at large, and that is a valiant effort. Some good solutions are bound to come from that and make private, permission-less social and financial identity a reality for all of us.
I feel it is important to point out that there is an intrinsic element of personal responsibility with self-sovereignty, even if technology can provide a better UX overall.
You need to control your data to be in control of your data. Just setting up defense barriers and protocols is not the same thing.
I know not everybody will have the know-how, and it is for those people that we are trying to create a safer experience. But do spend the time to learn even the smallest part of what it takes to control your data.
We are still all learning.
