I've been known to say that one of the reasons why you're safer, per hour spent in the seat, in a Boeing commercial airliner in US domestic passenger service, than on the sofa in a US living room, is that hardly ever does someone drive a car through the airliner!
It happened to a neighbour of ours twice in one year.
