I wonder what their combs will be like, mixing rose and single comb. With both breeds being auto-sex, are your new chicks easy to ID?
We’ve had free-ranging Dominiques for two years and love most things about them. But they’ve been susceptible to bumble foot, while our hardy barnyard mutts are fine. We’re thinking about crossing our Doms to increase hardiness, and also broodiness (so not Wels ;).
